PARTICIPATION & YOUTH VOICE

Young Inspectors

“The Young Inspectors is a project that equips young people with the skills and knowledge to be able to inspect services that they and their peers access. It empowers them with the ability to inspect and provide feedback on where they think a service can be improved or where they have been doing well. Inspecting key areas such as involvement of young people, quality of provision, accessibility and many more crucial areas. It ensures other young people can feel confident in a service they access having the stamp of approval from their peers"

What do we do?

The Young Inspectors project in Blackburn with Darwen has been developed to enable young people to have a voice and is focused on giving young people the opportunity to inspect services they use and give critical and constructive feedback to services, projects, funders, organisations, or bodies that provide services to young people in the Borough. Furthermore, youth inspections will also enable those involved in forming policies affecting young people, with relevant and up to date information on how to improve their services.
