The Holiday Activity Fund
(HAF)

WHAT IS HAF?

The Holiday Activity Fund is funded by the Department for Education.

The aims of the project are for children and young people to:

  • eat more healthily over the school holidays
  • be more active during the school holidays
  • take part in engaging and enriching activities which support the development of resilience, character and wellbeing along with their wider educational attainment
  • be safe and not to be socially isolated
  • have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition
  • be more engaged with school and other local services

  • YPS have received funding to deliver 3 projects this year – Easter, Summer (4 weeks of August) and October Half Term.

The project provides children and young people with a free healthy meal and access to a wide range of positive activities. TYS and SEND are both included in the project.
